'Prarie Glow' (Rudbeckia Triloba)

Overview: 'Prairie Glow' is a tall and upright variety of Rudbeckia triloba, growing to 3-4’ tall. The plant has dark, somewhat fuzzy, green leaves, divided into three parts, giving it the name triloba. It has large, yellow/orange flowers that bloom from late summer into the fall. It provides late-season food for pollinators and the seeds provide food for foraging birds in the winter.
Care: The plant prefers full sun and well-drained soil. It can tolerate a range of soil types. To prolong summer bloom, deadhead flowers. This will also prevent self seeding as it spread by rhizomes.
